KAJA VIDIČ
Art is a laboratory in which I explore the complexity of the human body and everything it carries with me on my life's journey – what I perceive, feel, experience, and express.
Surrounded by art from an early age, I developed an interest in various artistic disciplines together with my twin sister, with whom I have been exploring different forms of creative expression. Dance became the first activity I pursued independently, allowing me to establish my own identity outside of being a twin – to find my voice, discover my strengths and interests, and face my fears and challenges.

The body is a vessel of movement.
The body is a form striving for reconfiguration.
The body is an architectural object.
The body is a material in a state of becoming.
The body is a language code.
The body is an instrument with sonority.
The body is a fragile organism.
The body is a landscape wishing to be discovered.
The body is a fragmentary archive of sensations.
The body is a souvenir of passing time.
The body is a way toward art.
Dance is a central tool for self-discovery and self-expression, as well as a means of connection – to myself, to others, and to the environments I inhabit. As a performer and creator, I believe in dance and art in which we remain true to ourselves, our experiences, and emotions – where we are open to listening, understanding, and responding to each other's stories. Through this sensitivity toward ourselves, one another, and the world around us, I believe dance and art can subtly shift our perception and deepen our ways of seeing. This is where I see my role as a dancer and artist.
