ASSEMBLED WORLDS
Short dance film, 2026
SCENARIST I DIRECTOR I CHOREOGRAPHER I DANCER I SCENOGRAPHER
Assembled Worlds is a short dance film conceived as a montage of personal and cultural worlds. Water, the film’s central element, functions not only as a natural medium connecting these worlds but also as a symbol of life's origin, expanding the film into an existential reflection. Movement becomes a space for introspection while simultaneously revealing the vulnerability of nature and, therefore, of humans, who are its inseparable and interdependent part.
Thanks to Soške elektrarne Nova Gorica, Davorin Brezavšček, Restaurant Primula, and the Nova Gorica Association of Cultural Societies.
The film is supported by the Municipality of Nova Gorica and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia.
Assembled Worlds premiered on February 5, 2026, at the Nova Gorica Arts Centre as part of BITI VODA (BEING WATER), the central ceremony organized by the Municipality of Nova Gorica, the Nova Gorica Association of Cultural Societies, the Nova Gorica Arts Centre, and the Association Porte a Nordest. The event marked Slovenian Cultural Day, the 70th anniversary of the Nova Gorica Association of Cultural Societies, and the completion of the CROSS-CULTURE project.
